Hunger | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Although “Hunger” can also be perceived as a missed chance for Mongkolsiri to make his comments and essentially his narrative, more pointed, the film as a whole, works excellently, as the direction, the acting, and the visuals are truly outstanding Rated: 7.5 May 7, 2023 Full Review Hunger | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Juan José Beteta Cinencuentro The film not only questions haute cuisine as a mechanism for social advancement, but also demystifies it.. Apr 21, 2023 Full Review Hunger | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A predictable but tasty foodie-drama. Rated: B Apr 18, 2023 Full Review Hunger | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Luke Buckmaster Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) The 130 minute runtime is too long, lacking tightness and rigor. And yet the film coasts along quite well - never exceptional but never poorly made. Your appetite for psycho chef drama will be satisfied. Apr 18, 2023 Full Review Hunger | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Matt Pais MattPais.com Progressively acknowledges the reasons different people aim high and the difficulty in ever filling a need that may be inherently insatiable. BBB L Amazing Movie. As a film producer and editor for the past 30 years, I have always tried my best to make and edit the best possible movie, documentary or commercial. This film is one of the best made films I have ever seen, if my team could make something like this, I honestly would die happy. It is a story told with confidence and mastery, the performance and editing is the best there is in Asia and the world. The script has slight flows, but hey try writing one yourself before you critize others, it is so hard to write a good script, everyone in the world is trying to do that. Most fail. This film wins for me and I am recommending it to everyone I know. I am not a bot but a filmmaker in Australia. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Audience Member Different to what I normally watch, this film intrigued me with solid commentary on what it means to be truly hungry for notorioty and popularity. It exposes what it means to lose your soul in the pursuit of fame. There is a feel good moment at the end when coming home is so clearly what makes our young protagonist feel whole again. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Isaac F I wish I could get this 2.5 hours of my life back. High budget, great cinematography, solid acting, with NO plot. Several (seemingly) plot twists, with NO explanation of why/ or how they connected. Eerie music in every scene with no outcome.I feel like the movie was to inside of it itself, with a shallow existential message. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Audience Member worst movie ive seen in a while!!! random intense shots that lead to nothing, over dramatic. if you want to watch something about an intense chef watch the bear this movie is terrible and has no overarching plot. too long almost three hours long and only a 12 interesting seconds the rest made me want to pull out hairs but i had to finish it with family. super predictable Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Camille D Predictable, boring, meh. Too many wok shots. The change in attitude was unnecessary. All in all, would not recommend. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review Manuel Y Predictable and disappointing.I check RT and IMDB before watching movies and, in this case, I can’t understand how it has such a high rating. The movie follows an extremely predictable format, the acting is not memorable and the movie as a whole can be pretty much figured out in a few minutes from starting it. The weird idealization of nuveau riche is badly veiled as a critique, and there are a lot of moments that are downright idiotic. I was immensely disappointed, and almost stopped watching it, but I was watching it with a friend so we endured it for the sake of it. I felt embarrassed for recommending it.
